What is a wake window and how it changes
In short: A wake window is how long your baby can stay up between sleeps without getting overtired. It grows with age. Lupibu tunes it to your baby, not a generic chart.
Wake windows are one of the main anchors for sleep planning. Every baby has their own.
Rough age ranges
- 0–3 months: 45–90 minutes
- 3–6 months: 1.5–2.5 hours
- 6–9 months: 2–3 hours
- 9–12 months: 2.5–3.5 hours
- 1–2 years: 4–6 hours between naps
These are ranges, not rules. Variation within an age bracket is normal.
How Lupibu tunes it
After 5–7 days of entries, Lupibu starts using your real pattern. If your baby reliably falls asleep 2 hours 10 minutes after waking — that's what the app uses.
Signs the window is closing
- Eye rubbing, yawning, losing interest in play
- Unexplained fussing
- "Second wind" — sudden hyperactivity (often already overtired)
The app shows a prediction, but your baby's cues have the final say.
